Adam Williams burst through from deep to double the advantage five minutes later, Steffan Jones adding the conversion. Bedwas dominance was rewarded with a further unconverted try by Mathew John before the home side hit back with a well worked try by Morgan Evans, Laurence Howley adding the conversion.

Bedwas’ first half work was not complete as Mathew John notched a second try again improved upon by Steffan Jones before the home sides’ Kieran Waitman crossed to make the half time score Trebanos 12 Bedwas 24.
