Senghenydd make Bedwas work hard for the win

A much changed Bedwas XV were given a stern examination by a hard working Senghenydd side in their second preseason fixture.

The hosts opened the scoring following a charge down a home player reacting first to pounce on the loose ball, the try being converted.

Bedwas added further try through some speedy wing play from left winger Jordan Rees (Rhydfelin RFC) {pictured below} who turn on the gas to score two tries and came close to a third before being tackled close to the line but the following up Macauley Dimmick (Fleur de Lys RFC) collected the offload from Rees to crash over for a try.

Senghenydd added a second converted try before Jonathon Armitage (Bedwas RFC) found space to cross for a try.

Kicking duties was shared by shared by Jacob Chilcott and Dion McIntosh who between them landed three conversions.

Next up for Bedwas will be another home friendly fixture versus Marlborough Nomads on Saturday 18th August 2018, kick-off 2-30pm
