Bedwas RFC 1ST team return to league action this Saturday following last weekend’s ‘bye’. We are pleased to welcome Cambrian Welfare RFC on their first ever visit to the Bridge Field.
Ahead of the game Pat McGee commented, “The boys are looking forward to getting back into league action this week.
Effort from everyone over the last two weeks has been great. Selection has been very hard but in a good way lots of boys pushing for positions.
We are looking for another positive performance.”
There are a few changes from the side that took on Treorchy two weeks ago. The back four remain unchanged with Lewys Willacott coming for his Bedwas league debut at left wing. Lloyd Wilkins keeps the fly half jersey and partners Toby Thomas who swaps with Jak Robbins who move to the bench.
Up front Ryan Thomas and Jordan Rees swap bench for a starting role with Brynley Toms and Rhys Hutcherson. Mike Dacey continues at hooker. Alex Meeson makes his Bedwas league debut and will partner Harry Oliver at lock. Rhys Morgans holds on to the captain’s armband and will link up with Ben Eedy and Lewis David in the back row.
Dale Rogers begins his comeback from injury on the bench.
