Rugby is back!
It’s set to be a busy weekend at Bedwas RFC as the first team, the Athletic team and the Youth team all start their pre-season fixtures.
Bedwas first team make the short trip to neighbours Caerphilly for what is a keenly anticipated game between the two sides.
The squad have been working hard in training. Head Coach Pat McGee said: ‘Its great to be back in action. Pre-season is going well; a few new faces have given our squad a boost.’
‘We are excited to go to Caerphilly on Saturday, lots of work has gone into how we play so will be good to see it in action.’
Kick off at the Mollex Stadium is at 2-30pm.
The Athletic side have had to make a last-minute change to their scheduled fixture in Bristol against Aretians RFC. Unfortunately, the home side are unable to host the side, but it is hoped that the fixture will be rearranged for later in the season.
The Athletic side will now host Nelson Nomads at the Bridgefield with the kick off at 12-30pm.
Last but by no means least the newly reformed Bedwas Youth side host Newbridge RFC Youth in a friendly fixture at the Bridgefield with kick off at 2-30pm.
