Bedwas v Bargoed on Saturday

Bedwas host current league leaders Bargoed RFC on Saturday (kick-off 2-30pm).

Buoyed by the cup victory over Trebanos last time out Head Coach Pat McGee commented: ‘It’s back to league action this week after a positive performance in the cup last Saturday.  We have trained well this week and ready for the challenge Saturday against a tough Bargoed side.’

There are a few changes to the twenty man squad this week.

Tommy Chapman starts at Number 8 with Dale Rogers moving to openside flanker and recent signing Liam Beer at blind side flanker.

We welcome Luke Crane on permit from Newport at scrum half. Morgan Winstone moves to left wing with Lloyd Wilkins taking up the full back jersey. Adam Williams and Hamish Anderson cover the centre berths with Aaron Billingham on the right wing.

On the bench Lewis Bowden is set for a welcome return from his long-term injury sustained at Narberth last February. We welcome Number 8 Lloyd Jones from Machen on permit, and there’s a return for Ryan Thomas.
