After 16 months without a game Bedwas first team travelled to Ystrad Rhondda RFC for a friendly match played over three periods of twenty minutes. 

There was no scoring until the last period when Rory Harries and Jack Guy crossed for Bedwas either side of a close range try for the hosts after sustained pressure on the Bedwas line. Dion McIntosh converted both tries. However both sides played throughout with plenty of endeavour in a keenly contested but spirited encounter.
