CLUB STATEMENT
It has recently been bought to our attention by the Barbarian Rugby Football Club that it is in breach of their Intellectual Property rights by including the word ‘Barbarians’ in the name of our Second XV.
We, therefore, must change the name immediately to avoid potential legal action from the Barbarian RFC.
The team will now be known as Bedwas Athletic RFC.
We apologise for any confusion this name change may cause and apologise to the Barbarian RFC for our unwitting use of their name.
