Back to League action as we welcome Ynysddu RFC.

It’s back to Championship East League action this Saturday as we welcome Ynysddu RFC to the Bridgefield (kick-off 2-30pm).

This is our penultimate home fixture this season and another crucial fixture as the boys look to continue their excellent form.

Ahead of the game Head Coach Pat McGee offered these words:

“Following the high of Sunday’s Championship Cup Final victory at the Principality Stadium, attention now turns quickly back to league action as we prepare to face Ynysddu.

The squad enters this fixture full of confidence after a strong performance on the big stage, where discipline, structure, and clinical execution saw us lift the trophy. However, this match presents a very different challenge. With a short turnaround, managing physical and mental recovery will be key.
From our side, the focus is clear:
•Reset mentally after the celebrations and refocus on league objectives
•Maintain standards in defence and set piece—areas that were strong in the final
•Start fast to prevent Ynysddu gaining momentum
•Use squad depth effectively to manage workload and keep energy high
There may be some rotation in the squad to keep players fresh, but expectations remain unchanged. Every player coming in knows the system and the level required.
This is a test of professionalism. Good teams win finals—great teams back it up the following week.
We’ll be looking to carry momentum forward, deliver another disciplined performance, and secure valuable league points.”
