Magor RFC 13–48 Bedwas RFC Athletic
A dominant second half saw Bedwas RFC Athletic turn a narrow half-time deficit into an impressive away win, scoring seven tries along the way!
Jevon Knowles opened the scoring for the Athletic, with Owen Thomas adding the conversion. Magor responded with a penalty before Lewis Morgan crossed for Bedwas’ second try. A converted try and another penalty for the hosts left the boys trailing 13–12 at the break.
Owen Thomas’ penalty early in the second half put Bedwas back in front, and the Athletic pushed on from there. Captain Ben Reynolds crossed for a try, followed by Josh Godden’s first of the afternoon.
Despite a spell down to 14 men following a yellow card, Bedwas continued to build their lead. Harrison Jones added his name to the scoresheet before Josh Godden crossed twice more to complete a second-half hat-trick.
Owen Thomas finished with five conversions and a penalty. An outstanding response after the break, with 36 unanswered points and no second-half scores conceded.
