Barbarians win inaugural Stewart Kirton Memorial Trophy

Bedwas Barbarians RFC 59 Aretians RFC 29

 Bedwas Barbarians won the inaugural Stewart Kirton Memorial Cup defeating Aretians 59 points to 27.

The boys racked up a first half lead of 33 points to nil allowing Head Coach Dean Picton to make wholesale changes to the line up for the second half to give game time to development players.

Tries were scored by:

Jevon Knowles, Dewi Thomas, Tyler Pesci-Griffiths, Dave Bisof, Mike Young, Tyler Picton (3), and Patrick Shaw.

Successful conversions were added by Owen Thomas, Tyler Picton and Josh Jennings.

Ben Salmon grandson of the late Stewart Kirton presented the trophy to winning captain Lucas Weeks.
