On Saturday Bedwas return to action for the first time since October 12th and travel north up the A470 to Merthyr RFC for a WRU Challenge Cup Second Round fixture.
This being a cup fixture Head Coach Steffan Sankala can name a squad of twenty three players.
James Richards finally returns from injury following an extended wait when no fixtures were played and he partners Rhys Morgans and Dale Rogers in the back row. Tom Devine, Mike Dacey and Rhys Hutcherson occupy the front row with Craig Hudd and Gareth Allen completing the front five.
Matt Bancroft starts at scrum half and will be partnered by Dion McIntosh who plays who will be looking forward to playing against the side coached by his father Dale. Jordan Rees and Alec Jones take up positions on the wings with Callum Williams and Matthew Williams (no relation) in the centre berths and James Hallett continues his ever present record this season at full back.
On the bench there are three front row players selected, with Jamie Tucker and Owen Ford being joined by new signing from Rhydfelin RFC Kelvyn Williams. Matthew Bovington and Jonny Armitage make up the five forward on the bench together with Owain Keane, Bradley Williams and Greg Callow.
