Bedwas host Brecon on the quarter finals of the WRU Championship Cup on Saturday, kicking off at 2pm.
The draw has produced some appetising ties as we get to the business end of the season with the other ties being Bargoed v Llangennech, Narberth v Dunvant (tie awarded to Narberth as Dunvant unable to field a side) and Ystrad Rhondda v Cardiff Met.
Brecon currently occupy third position in the Championship West with one defeat from 12 games played. Pat McGee knows we can expect a hard game: ‘With a rest from league action this week all efforts go into progressing in the Cup’ said McGee. ‘Brecon will be a very tough side , we will have to be at our best to get into the next round.’
The last two Bedwas fixtures have seen the team come out victorious by the slenderest of margins and the result was in doubt until the final whistle. More of the same today will be most welcome!
Today’s match sponsor is the Ted Bovis Golf Society, we are grateful to Mark Lewis and his group for their continued support.
