Bedwas host Beddau RFC on Saturday (kick-off 2-30pm) and will be looking to return to winning ways against what is expected to be tough opposition who are currently two places and fifteen points below Bedwas in the league table.
Head coach Stefan Sankala makes a few changes to the team that took on Neath last time out. Up front Brynley Toms comes in on permit from Cardiff RFC with Mike Dacey returning at hooker. Ben Sier and Matthew Bovington are selected at lock forward with the back row remaining unchanged.
Behind the scrum there are positional changes. Unfortunately Lewis Bowden’s season is over as he will have to have his knee reconstructed and will spend considerable time recovering. Sam Davies and Aaron Billingham take up the centre berths with Iwan Burgwin moving out to the left wing. Lloyd Wilkins and James Dixon continue at full back and outside half respectively with Jacob Wright coming in at scrum half.
On the bench we welcome Oli Drake from Cardiff as Sankala opts for four forwards and a back for his replacements.
