What a day we had yesterday! Unfortunately a loss for both Bedwas RFC and Wales, but two thrilling matches which remind us why we love the game so much! The weather held for our match at Ystrad Mynach which was great and then there was an awesome atmosphere for the Six Nations match back down the club.

Last Sunday, I don’t think there were many of us thinking that we’d be waking up with a sore head after going to the rugby club for Wales v France – but we pulled it off. Many thanks to everyone who worked to get the temporary bar set-up and to the staff who worked very hard yesterday to keep up with demand. Just 7 days ago that function room was wrecked with 3ft of water and a thick layer of muck and silt so what a turnaround to get it clean for a great afternoon of sport.

As you will have seen, there’s plenty more for us to work on in the coming weeks to get the building and its rugby facilities fully operational again. We’ll continue to keep you updated as to progress down the club with some big rugby weekends ahead of us.
