It was a forgettable day to be a Bedwas fan on Saturday 8 September as Bedwas lost 27-7 at the Wern at the hands of the two-time champions.
Two early tries set the tone initially as Bedwas fell off tackles. James Richards bit back for Bedwas with a try but the visitors were unable to offer much more. Nevertheless, there was some excellent defensive play as the team came out for the second half but with the constant intervention of the referee’s whistle, neither side could build any momentum and Bedwas were awarded nothing for some great work on the deck.
Bedwas now regroup to face Llandovery on Saturday 15 September at home.
