Bedwas hoping to carry on recent good form.

Bedwas 1st XV host Rumney RFC on Saturday (kick-off 2-30pm) with the team keen to carry on the recent run of good form.

Head Coach Pat McGee said ‘With Christmas and New Year now over training has been limited. Rumney are a tough side but we are looking to carry our form into the New Year with a positive performance and result.

Lewis David returns at number 8 on permit from Whiteheads RFC and is joined in the back row for Ben Eedy and Dale Rogers. Liam Beer starts at lock forward accompanied by Tom Hodges. Ben Drew starts at loose head prop with Ryan Thomas moving to tight head and Lewis Crane keeping the hooker jersey.

Behind the scrum Sam Davies starts at outside centre having recovered from injury. Liam Jenkins and Aaron Billingham are on the wings with Hamish Anderson at full back. Jacob Wright and James Dixon take up the half back positions with Lewis Bowden at inside centre.

On the bench there are returns for Ioan Hill and Jeffrey Young on permit from Cardiff Met. Rhys Morgans and Sean Morris complete the forward options on the bench with recent signing Llewelyn Brown completing the allocated fifth position.
