Update (March 3rd)

Some good news for the weekend ahead! With the changing weather and some work on the pitch itself, we should be in a position to play our game at home on the Bridgefield this Saturday against Ystrad Rhondda. It’s an early 1pm kick-off which will give us plenty of time to enjoy the big England v Wales clash on the TV after the match at 4.45pm. It promises to be another good day of rugby with the temporary bar up and running, free food and a raffle on the day. We have been relatively quiet down the club since our game against Neath the other week, so lots of support to help with our restricted cash flow will really help with the refurb. 👍

Away from rugby, the club volunteers have been busy this week with work on refurbing the lounge getting underway. Yet another skip has already been filled, with our guys stripping out the ruined flooring and fittings from the lounge. We’re still not sure on the generator (which runs the floodlights) so fingers crossed on that one. We have made our submission to the WRU for funds from their relief fund and so we look forward to hearing from them as we look to get the place sorted, bit-by-bit! 🏉
