Bedwas RFC is extremely saddened to hear of the recent, unexpected passing of former Youth player Gareth Lewis.

Gareth, 42, (universally known as ‘GL’) was the son of former Bedwas centre Jeff Lewis.

He went on to become coach of Caerphilly RFC, the Caerphilly Tigers Ladies side and Dragons age group teams (amongst others).

He leaves behind his parents, Jeff and Karen, his brother, wife Elizabeth and two young daughters.

We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time.
